Cape Cod Lighthouse
Posted by Ryan in Photos, tags: Cape Cod, competition, Lighthouse, Post ProcessingThis is from our trip to Boston. Lisa and I rented a car for the day to drive down to Cape Cod and it was quite a day trip. The sky was murky and didn’t make for a great color photo, but after converting to sepia tones, boosting the contrast, and adding a vignette it turned out to be a nice image. I submitted this one also in this month’s camera club competition and took first place in the open advanced division.
Post processing done in Adobe Lightroom.

Sweet image. You travel a ton, I am way jealous….
It’s hard to go wrong with a lighthouse. What I like about this one that is different from most is the role the road plays, and the balance it provides against the lighthouse tower.
Despite the fact that we didn’t find anything good to eat during our time on the Cape, it was a fun trip (I think I dumb down your blog with my comments… I know it’s a photography blog and all… my comments are always random nada que ver stuff).
I love the adjustments you made to this photo to give it some more contrast. Congrats on the first place.
