Heather, thanks for the thoughts, and I think you’re correct . As I continue to look at the photo, that bothers me. The other thing that bothers me is the murkiness of the sky… hopefully I’ll get to go back to reshoot this location!

I too think that this is a beautiful picture but I had a question. Have you tried cropping out the right corner? The reason being is that your picture is full of color and lot’s of green and then you look at the right corner and it’s not colorful. My eyes are just drawn to that corner becuase it’s the brightest thing closest to my eyes to look at. If you think that I am just nuts, you can ignore me and I’ll understand. I do envy you for getting to go to all the great places. I live in the middle of photography mecca (or so my master photographer cousin tells me so I should be grateful) and don’t get to get out hardly at all.

This is such a beautiful photo! It appears you got there in plenty of time. Yes, I agree. The water is so beautiful. It’s still exactly where it needs to be; the reflection of the mountains is beautiful!

I don’t think I was even phased by your trying to leave… I must add however that I never sleep well in a tent anyway, so it probably wouldn’t have been anything out of the ordinary to have waken up before it was time. Getting up early is overrated (unless you get great pictures like this one!).
